The victim, a man in his 40s, died on the morning of October 20 while receiving medical treatment for injuries caused by heavy weapons and landmines.


The injured were men between the ages of 20 and 40. A local resident said that the column left the village after two landmines exploded while the column was cleaning up two homes that had been set on fire.


"After they left, they entered the village and cleared the burnt houses. Two landmines planted by the soldiers there broke, and they fired heavy weapons at the broken place. Nine people were injured by both the mine and the heavy weapon. One of them died this morning."


He said that this column was the one that went out on foot from Ye Oo town to Di Paying town, and raided the villages along the village road along the road of the village and carried out a series of raids and shooting with heavy weapons.
